Lock the profile brand and hardware line for the full project duration rather than leaving room for a mid-construction substitution, since that’s exactly where the Bibwewadi situation nearly went wrong. And factor in a genuine total cost of ownership comparison, procurement cost plus estimated maintenance and warranty cost over a ten year horizon, rather than optimizing purely for the lowest per-square-foot number in the initial tender.
